Professional Experience

  • Sarah is working as a Campus Dietitian/Registered Dietitian at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA (Since August 2014).
  • Backiously she worked as a campus dietitian at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC (August 2012 – August 2014).
  • She pursued her Dietetic Internship, which included 16 weeks of clinical, 11 weeks of food service management, and 12 weeks of community experience, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA (August 2011 to June 2012).
  • Sarah worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University Nutrition and Wellness Research Center, Ames, IA (August 2009 to August 2011).
  • Sarah is also a consultant dietitian throughout the New Orleans community.
  • She specializes in sports nutrition and working with athletes, weight management, and those struggling with eating disorders.


About Sarah

A member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Sarah Walsh is a registered dietitian nutritionist. She is certified in dietetics and nutrition in Louisiana. She currently provides nutrition counseling to college students, including athletes and those struggling with eating disorders. By way of numerous lectures throughout the Tulane campus, Sarah enlightens people about nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition throughout the lifecycle.

Sarah believes in motivating people to eat better and live healthier in order to tap their full potential. But the cornerstone of her approach is that she encourages her clients to maintain a positive body image even as they move towards a more health-conscious lifestyle.

  • She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Louisiana Certified Dietitian Nutritionist
  • Sarah is a Certified Sport Specialty Dietitian (CSSD) since 2015.
